TEHRAN – If smuggling of goods and currency is halted it will lead to creation of jobs at home, a presidential candidate has said.

The amount of smuggling of goods and currency is “$25 billion a year”, which if prevented, can be used to create jobs, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said, Nasim reported.

“According to the 6th Development Plan, 1.2 million jobs have to be created each year. If the government fails to do so, we will waste the youth.”
